10 months!

Wes is 10 months old and very much on the move! He has officially moved from the wounded soldier crawl to a big boy crawl up on his hands and knees. We weren't sure this day would ever come as he has been perfectly content to army crawl for the past 3 months, but it has and he goes everywhere! He also pulls up on everything and loves to cruise around the room along the furniture! He can go from chair to table, to toy box and so on. We just love watching him turn into such a big boy and gain so much independence. It's amazing!





Wes is also learning the word "no." Often this proves to hurt his feelings and he'll cry when he gets told no and pulled away from something. But, recently, he's developed a sense of humor about it. He'll crawl over to something he knows he's not supposed to touch and pause just before he gets there. He'll look back at me and as I say, "no-no", he starts to giggle and crawl even faster toward the forbidden object!

Wes also cut his top two teeth this month, bringing the grand total up to 4! Wes thinks it is a lot of fun to knock down any sort of tower that we build - whether it be with blocks, stacking cups or anything else that will stack, he immediately crawls over and swipes it down. Such a boy already! When it comes to mealtime, Wes's favorite food is definitely cheese! The kid can't get enough of it!

Wes also got fitted for his first pair of big boy shoes now that he's cruising around. The sweet ladies that worked with him were very kind and he loves his new kicks!


We visited Nana and went on a beautiful hike!

This was the first time I came in to get Wes from his nap and found him
standing up waiting for me!


Wes now bathes in the big tub and LOVES it! He splashes and scoots all over. He also has a great time swimming around on his tummy!


Mommy, "Ready for dinner?" Wes claps, indicating, "Yes!"

This month was also big because Gigi and Papa came down and watched Wes while Jeremy and I got away for the weekend to celebrate his 30th birthday. We, of course, were sad to leave him and we missed him tremendously. But, it was a wonderful thing to have some time away to rest and rejuvenate! Thank you Gigi and Papa! Wes had a blast with them and did great!

This sweet boy is growing up so fast and we are loving every minute of it!!
