9 months!
Baby Wes turned 9 months now and he is seeming to be less and less like a baby these days. He measured in at 22 lbs and 29 1/4 inches at his check up.
Wes still relies on his army crawl to get around and is working on his pulling up skills. He loves to stand ALL the time! He's figured out how to stiffen his body so that you can't sit him down when he wants to stand. Hysterical! We're working on introducing finger foods. He will eat cheerios and puffs any time of the day, but other finger foods are sort of hit and miss so far. One day he'll love one thing and the next day not want anything to do with it. He talks and jabbers all the time, constantly coming up with new sounds and combinations of syllables. Wes has a lot to say these days!
Wes's hair has become one of his trademarks. It is really filling in and has an amazing amount of volume! It has always loved to stand up right around his crown and as it has grown longer, it often only stands up taller! Sometimes, if we work hard we can get it to lay down for a while, but then it gradually just pops right back up! Many of the photos from this month show just what I'm talking about, so be on the look out for his stylish hair as I highlight our month...

Wes loves to stand and play at his activity table! He talks and bangs and has a blast and really works to figure out how each element works.
Our little super hero! This was taken after a fresh attempt to slick his hair down...it's sort of working.

One of Wes's favorite toys these days is his shape sorter. He loves to fill it up and then take everything out and reapeat this over and over.

We didn't go all the way down to the beach, but we did spend a little time looking over the bluffs at the ocean. We are so blessed to live in such a beautiful place!

One of my favorite things these days is that Wes has started giving these giant spontaneous hugs! He'll just suddenly pull his little legs up, grab your neck and squeeze away! It makes your heart feel like it's going to explode! So sweet that Jeremy caught one of these moments on camera. We've also enjoyed some fun time at the park. We discovered that Wes absolutely loves the swings! He cackled and smiled the entire time!

He was a little dare devil and wanted to be at the very front of the swing. I kept stopping him and pulling him back (safety first!), but he would immediately scoot back up to the very front!
