We had our big growth ultrasound 2 weeks ago (at 30 weeks). Little J was found to be healthy and strong. He actually measured 3 weeks ahead of his due date!! He was approximated at 17 inches and 4 lbs already! Yikes!! The doctor said this may just be because he has a tall mommy and daddy, so we'll see. We may have a very big boy on our hands come August!!
Our favorite part of this big ultrasound is that we were able to see him and watch him in 3D! When the doctor first flipped the image to 3D it absolutely took our breath away! The tears immediately started rolling down my cheeks and Jeremy squeezed my hand as we saw his chubby little cheeks and his sweet little nose. He looked like an actual little baby and we were just in awe of him! We watched him sqirm and suck his thumb. We watched him stick his little tongue in and out -- all in 3D images. What an amazing experience it was! We have the whole thing on DVD, but here is one still image we captured.

One specific prayer request we have is that we did discover that, at the time of this ultrasound, the cord was wrapped around his neck one time. The loop is very loose and the doctor monitored the blood flow and it looked perfect. There is also still a chance that he will wiggle out of that loop at some point between now and delivery. However, we are blessed to have a very attentive doctor who has requested I go for weekly non-stress tests for the duration of the pregnancy just to monitor Little J and ensure he is doing well. So, for now, we ask that you pray along with us that he will not encounter any distress at any point and that he will be a full term healthy baby!
We are absolutely in love with this guy already and can not wait to meet him!

What a great post. Thank you for sharing from your heart... pretty special. I heard the weekend shower was a ton of fun!
Yea! Pictures! We never had the chance to do the 3D, and I wish we had. This picture is amazing!
Hang in there through these last few weeks, sister. You're looking fantastic! My doctor told me 2 days before Cameron was born, when I was 38 1/2 weeks, that he was big...probably close to 8 pounds. He came out 6lbs 2oz. So it's mostly a guessing game.
Lots of love and hugs to the three of you!!
Little J will definitely be in my prayers! I hope I get to see you soon. :)
