15 Months and a whole lot of fall fun!
Wow.....where to begin! Last time I posted Wes had just turned one and had taken his very first step. Now days we've got a very big boy who's always on the move!
Let's see, here are some updates...
At Wes's 15 month check up he weighed in at 26 pounds and measured 33 inches! He has 12 teeth, including 4 molars! His first word that was clear as day was hot! His vocabulary now spans such words as car, uh-oh, no, go, bird, outside (ah-sah), motorcycle (mah-moh) and many others. He seems to speak new ones every day! He has been able to do the signs for all done, more and please for a while now which is so helpful. He loves to give kisses, blow kisses and give high-fives. His new obsession is cars, trucks, planes -- pretty much anything with wheels. He constantly points out cars and trucks and says "cah" and stops to listen every time a car, truck or motorcycle drives by. He loves to play with his cars and trucks and says, "bbbrrrr" the whole time! He also loves to point out airplanes in the sky when we hear one flying above. He can do some of the hand motions to "itsy bitsy spider." He can make the animal sounds for dog, monkey, snake, elephant, lion and a few others. He can point out his eyes, ears, nose, mouth, teeth, hands, feet, head, hair and belly button.
With each passing day we realize that we no longer have a baby on our hands, but a very busy toddler! We are having a blast!
There's a lot of catching up to do, so here a a LOT of photos spanning months 12-15!

There's a lot of catching up to do, so here a a LOT of photos spanning months 12-15!

Wes loves to drink out of big people cups!
Wes figured out door knobs. He can't open the front door, thank goodness, but he has figure out how to open the other doors in the house. They have lever knobs so he can easily pull down and push and get wherever he wants now!
Wes loves to put shoes on, whether they be his own or mommy's or daddy's...he mostly loves this because it usually means we're going outside! I can say, "Go get your shoes!" and Wes will walk around until he finds his shoes and then brings them to me.
Wes is also REALLY into books these days! Goodnight Moon is one of his favorites. He can point out lots of things in the pages and he knows to say "hot" when we get to the page with the fire in the fireplace and he also helps us read the story. When we get to the page with the old lady, we'll say, "And the quiet old lady who was whispering ....and Wes will say, "hush!" Adorable!
Wes's favorite place is anywhere outside. And when we can't go outside, he stands at the sliding glass door watching for birds and trucks!
Wes was a monkey for Halloween this year! And, he was such a good sport! He wore this costume, hood, mittens and everything the entire evening and didn't fuss once! He also makes this most adorable monkey sound which was perfect with his costume!

At the Harvest Festival at our church, Wes got to do the donut-on-a-string game....hysterical and so cute! Here he is waiting patiently for them lower the donut to his height.

Although Wes never fussed a bit in his costume, he was pretty excited to be free of it after the party!
First time trick-or-treating! This was so much fun! He was never afraid or nervous. He marched right up to the door, banged his little mitten hand and waited patiently for the door to open. He loved getting candy in his bucket! He walked the entire time and mommy and daddy eventually pooped out before Wes!
