5 Months and a Merry Christmas!
Wes turned 5 months old on Christmas Eve, so I thought it appropriate to post his 5 month update along with our Christmas post. So.....
Here's a taste of life with Wes over the past month!
Fresh from the bath!
This is the day that Wes discovered he could grab his feet...shortly after this he also discovered he could suck on his toes! Still trying to capture that one on camera!
Aaaah.....that smile!
Starting to sit up like a big boy! This skill is key to being able to play his piano!
First time in the exersaucer! It's safe to say he loves it!
Very excited about getting up in the high chair for the first time!!
First taste of rice cereal.....
...Wes loved it!
Almost every evening Wes and Daddy spend some time in the studio playing some music together. Wes absolutely loves it! He props his hands up on Daddy's hands while he plays and just takes it all in....we may have a potential musician on our hands.Wes's First Christmas!

Gigi and Papa (Gail and Steve) got Wes this adorable Santa outfit to sport! It was adorable and hysterical! The hat was either poorly sized or Wes just has a large head...or maybe both are true. But, in any case, we still couldn't resist perching it up there and Wes didn't seem mind at all!
Wes loved looking at the lights on the tree!
The cousins in their new Christmas PJs! Whenever we try to get a group photo of all the kiddos it is quite a process involving an extensive blooper reel! The grown ups all got new matching PJs as well (as is tradition each year), however, somehow escaped a group photo! Hmmm....
Give me that present!
On the other hand, who needs presents when you've got wrapping paper!!
Checking out some new toys.
Zonked after a very busy Christmas morning! While at Gigi and Papa's house, we took a day trip up to Yosemite -- my favorite place on earth! It was a wonderful wintry day with breathtaking scenery.
A traditional family photo spot overlooking the Yosemite Valley.
A beautiful shot of Half Dome in the background.
Brrr...it was a very cold day!
We even got to enjoy a good old-fashioned snowball fight! After heading home we had a BIG Christmas celebration with my mom's side of the family. We were actually all able to be together this year!

Wes's first Christmas was very special. He received so much love from so many people. We enjoyed every moment with him and relished in the joy of sharing this holiday with our sweet boy for the first time.
As I reflect upon 2009, I see the many awesome workings of our Lord. Jeremy and I are humbled by the many answered prayers that we received this year -- the greatest of which is our Wesley Stephen. We look forward with great anticipation to what 2010 holds!

Very cool photos!!! Looks like Wes wasn't the only one having fun, but he may get the prize for the biggest grin. When we were packing up stuff at RFJ's house, we saw a pic of Jeremy about that age with that same laughing-out-lud grin. We'll need to show it to you.
I just love that smile! Can't wait to see him again! This last time I just was able to say hi for a bit. Love you!
I am dying for a 6 month update! I hope all is well for you guys. Love you,
Carah
