Jeremy and I recently went on our church's family retreat. It was a wonderful time! The topic was "Variety is the spice of life in the body of Christ" (or something like that). Anyway, we all took the Myers-Briggs personality test and then we worked with a couple in our church who are trained in this area. We learned about other people in our church, why they are the way they are, and how we can use this variety to grow and love in our church. For those of you who know Myers-Briggs speak, Jeremy turned out to be an INTJ and I came out as an ISFJ. This shed a whole lot of light on us in some big ways. We have been referring back to what we learned quite a lot in the past week. It was really an amazing time of growth. We learned a lot of about each other and our friends. We laughed a whole lot, had some great conversations and felt like we had really escaped from "the real world" for a few days -- exactly what a retreat should be! We feel so blessed to be a part of the Conejo Valley Church of Christ!

Girl Time! Amber and Sarah
Amber, Katie and Kari
"The May Boys"
Jeremy, Allen and Dave
Everyone was divided up by birthday months and was given kitchen gadgets and spices and were instructed to come up with a skit that involved all of your items. Well, "The May Boys" (which included some other people as well) took the cake with their VARIETY HO-DOWN. It was awesome and an encore presentation was even given on Sunday to close the retreat due to it's extreme popularity! It was brilliant!

What a beautiful fall weekend it was!
